** 3 RECIPES FOR YOU FROM HAVERHILL
BEEF AND DUCANE GAS GRILLS **
Three-Pepper Beef Kabobs
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 8 to 11 Minutes
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, cut 1 inch thick
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoons each fresh lemon juice and water
2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
1 teaspoon honey 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 medium green, red or yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
8 large mushrooms
Directions:
1. Cut beef steak into 1-inch pieces. Whisk together oil, lemon
juice, mustard, honey, oregano and pepper in large bowl: add
beef, bell pepper and mushrooms, stirring to coat.
2. Alternately thread pieces
of beef, bell pepper and mushrooms on each of four 12-inch skewers.
3, Place kabobs on grill with
medium heat on gas grill. Grill for 8 to 11 minutes for rare
to medium turning occasionally. Season with salt, if desired.

Grilled Parmesan Cheese Tomatoes
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 to 15 Minutes
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
2 medium tomatoes
4 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Cut tomatoes in half. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan
cheese per cut tomato half.
2. Grill over medium heat or
white edge coals. Place tomatoes on outer edge of grill. Grill
for 10 to 15 minutes.

Grilled Summer Fruit Crisp
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cook Time: 55 Minutes
Makes 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups whole blueberries or chopped rhubarb
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Directions
1. In medium bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon,
and nutmeg. Add butter and mix until moistened.
2. Press half of mixture in a
8 X 5 1/4-inch foil pan or an 8 X 1 1/2-inch round baking pan.
Place blueberries or rhubarb and pecans evenly over crumb mixture.
3. In small saucepan combine
sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat until slightly
thickened. Pour sauce over blueberries or rhubarb. Sprinkle with
remaining crumb mixture.
4. Place pan in center of cooking
grate. Cook 30 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and tender. Serve
warm or at room temperature. Top with ice cream, if desired.

** GRILLING TIP FROM HAVERHILL
BEEF AND DUCANE GAS GRILLS **
QUESTION: What's the best way
to grill a steak?
ANSWER: If grilling a steak such
as a T-bone, Rib Eye, New York Sirloin etc., heat the grill to
its highest heat and grill your meat 4-7 minutes per side (lid
closed) or 10-15 minutes per side (lid open) depending on the
steak's thickness and on the way you like your steak cooked.
Add your barbecue sauce during the last couple of minutes on
the grill.
For a less expensive steak you
should marinade it for 4-24 hours before grilling and cook at
a lower heat to promote tenderness!!
