** 3 SUPER BOWL APPETIZER RECIPES
FOR YOU FROM HAVERHILL BEEF **
Skyline Chili
Prep Time: 20 Minute
Cook Time: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes
Ready In: 1 Hour and 50 Minutes
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients:
4 pounds ground beef
2 onion, chopped
4 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 pinches ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons chili powder
2 pinches cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste
2 pounds uncooked spaghetti
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups kidney beans
1 cup olives
1/2 cup chopped onion
Directions:
1. Brown beef and onion in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Place browned mixture in a large pot and stir in the tomato sauce,
garlic, Worcestershire sauce, cinnamon, vinegar, chili powder,
cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, over low
heat for 1 1/2 hours.
2. When meat mixture has about 20 minutes cooking time left,
bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta
and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and set
aside.
3. Serve meat mixture over cooked
spaghetti topped with cheese, beans, olives and chopped onion.

Taco Bake
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Ready In: 40 Minutes
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
2. In a large, heavy skillet
over medium-high heat, brown ground beef, and drain fat. Mix
in dry taco seasoning.
3. Spoon browned meat into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Spoon
a layer of refried beans over meat, then salsa. Top with shredded
cheese.
4. Bake about 20 to 25 minutes
in the preheated oven.

Chicken Nuggets
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 Minutes
Ready in: 30 Minutes
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
2 cups corn oil
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Directions:
1. Rinse chicken with cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
Cut into 1x1x1/2 inch pieces.
2. Fill a deep fryer with corn oil, no more than 1/3 full. Heat
to medium heat.
3. Place egg and water in a small
bowl and mix well. Add the flour, sesame seeds and salt, stirring
until a smooth batter is formed.
4. Dip chicken pieces in batter
and drain off any excess. Add battered chicken, a few pieces
at a time, to the hot oil. Fry about 4 minutes or until golden
brown and done (remove chicken from oil to test). Drain on paper
towels.

Super Snacks for the Big Game
. . .
Besides a television, all you
need for a successful Super Bowl party is plenty of food and
drink. It's okay to keep the food simple for this occasion --
remember that most of it is going to be scarfed down while everyone's
eyes are glued to the television and not to your painstakingly
prepared refreshments. Choose snacks that can be eaten with your
hands or with a single utensil -- you won't want to be balancing
on a paper plate in your lap while you balance a beer bottle
between your knees.
Kick Off the Festivities Early:
Start the party a couple of hours before the game is scheduled
to begin -- keep the pre-game show on in the background while
everyone socializes, loads up their plates, places their bets
and gets settled into a comfy spot on the couch. Set up plenty
of tables or TV trays in the living room so that food can be
set down quickly, in time for everyone to leap to their feet
and scream at the television during key moments, as every dedicated
fan does throughout an important game.
Let Everyone "Build their
Own":
You may wish to serve an array of snacks and allow everyone to
graze to their heart's content. If you want to go the extra mile
and offer a full-fledged meal to your fellow football fans, a
buffet-style meal is by far the best choice for the occasion.
Everyone loves a "build-your-own" buffet, whether the
main attraction is submarine sandwiches, burritos and nachos,
baked potatoes or pizzas. Use your slow cooker to keep the warm
items at just the right temperature on your buffet table. Whatever
you decide to serve, though, remember that the best refreshments
are those that can be prepared ahead of time, requiring a minimum
of last-minute fuss.

dip bowls are perfect for game-day munchies, as well as a slow
cooker full of your favorite warm chili or stew.

BEEF **
About Miller Lite . . .
An American Classic.
Miller Lite was the first low-calorie brew, setting the standard
for all other light beers. It's been around since 1975. It still
has only 96 calories per 12-ounce serving. And it's still brewed
with the finest malted barley and choicest hops. Miller Lite
won gold medals in the 1996 and 1998 World Beer Cup competition
in the American-style Light Lager category.
History of the Miller Brewing
Company . . .
The history of Miller Brewing
begins in the mid-19th century, when Frederick Edward John Miller,
born November 24, 1824, was learning the craft of brewing beer
in Germany. At the age of 14, Miller was sent to France for seven
years of study. After touring Europe after his graduation, he
visited his uncle, a brewer, in Nancy, France. He decided to
stay and learn the business.
"Working through the various
departments of his uncle's brewery, and supplementing the experience
thus gained with the fruits of observation during visits to various
beer-producing cities of Germany, he leased the royal brewery
of the Hohenzollerns at Sigmaringen, Germany," according
to the 1914 edition of the Evening Wisconsin Newspaper Reference
Book.
The political strife threatening
Germany at the time brought Miller and his passion for beer to
the United States and, ultimately, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1855.
With $8,000 in gold from Germany, Miller opened the Plank Road
Brewery, a five-year-old brewery started by Frederick Charles
Best and abandoned in 1854, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Miller died in 1888, and his descendants ran the company for
the following decades..
Through the Great Depression,
Prohibition and two World Wars, Miller Brewing has persevered
and grown. With hard work and ingenuity, Miller Brewing Company
is now the second largest brewer in the United States.
