** 3 RECIPES FOR YOU **
Grilled Honey Glazed Pork Roast
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: about 1 hour and 15 Minutes
Ready in: about 3 Hours and 35 Minutes INCLUDING marinating time.
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
4 lb. boneless pork roast
3/4 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
1. In a resealable plastic bag, combine thoroughly the honey,
soy sauce, brown sugar, rosemary, basil, water and Worcestershire
sauce until well blended.
2. Place the boneless pork roast in the resealable plastic bag;
mix together; seal the bag and refrigerate for about 2 hours
(or as long as overnight).
3. Pre-heat grill to medium heat.
4. Remove the pork roast from the bag; discard any remaining
marinade; and place the pork roast on the grill grids over INDIRECT
heat; close grill hood and grill for about 1 hour and 15 Minutes
until internal temperature (measured with a meat thermometer)
reads 160°F.
5. Remove pork roast from the grill, let rest for 10 minutes
before slicing to serve.

Lemon-Garlic Grilled Boneless Pork Chops
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 12 Minutes
Ready in: about 12 Minutes WITHOUT marinating time
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients:
8 boneless pork chops cut about 3/4 inch thick
2/3 cup real lemon juice
1/3 cup chopped garlic
1/2 olive oil
1/2 teaspoon basil
2 tablespoons crushed dried tarragon
1 tablespoon thyme
Paprika
Directions:
1. Combine the lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, basil, tarragon
and thyme in a resealable plastic bag.
2. Add pork pork chops and liberally coat the meat on all sides
with the mixture and marinate them for at least 6 hours (or up
to overnight) in the refrigerator.
After marinating time:
3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
4. Remove the pork chops from the bag, drain chops, discarding
marinade.
5. Place the pork chops on the pre-heated grill grid and then
sprinkle the chops with a little paprika. Grill for 5 to 6 minutes
or until brown. Turn chops and sprinkle with paprika. Broil for
5 to 6 minutes more or until chops are just done.

Grilled Oriental-Style Boneless Chicken Breasts
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: about 15 Minutes
Ready in: 20 Minutes
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
Basting Sauce:
1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/3 cup sherry
3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons sesame oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
10 water chestnuts, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat grill to medium heat.
2. In a saucepan, add and stir together the sherry, brown sugar,
sesame oil, soy sauce, thyme, water chestnuts, garlic and ginger.
Heat to a boil over medium high heat. Remove from heat and set
aside.
3. Place the chicken breasts on the pre-heated grill grid, turning
occasionally and basting with ginger sauce, for 15 minutes or
until meat thermometer inserted in center registers 170°F.
Note: Do not baste during last 5 minutes of grilling.

** GRILLING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS **
QUESTION: How do you keep a steak or chops from curling around
the edges when grilling?
ANSWER: Slash the outer layer of fat at 1 inch intervals.
QUESTION: Any suggestions for grilling vegetable?
ANSWER: If your vegetables are being charred on the outside but
raw on the inside, try this: Microwave them from 1-3 minutes,
brush with olive oil, remove them from microwave dish etc., and
grill until tender, turning once.
QUESTION: Should I pre-heat my grill prior to using it?
ANSWER: Always pre-heat your grill: It is extremely important
that your grill be up to temperature before you begin using.
After lighting the grill, close hood and preheat for at least
15 minutes. This will ensure all components are hot enough for
proper grilling. Note: Never leave a grill unattended.
QUESTION: Any suggestions to prevent my hamburgers from drying
out while grilling?
ANSWER: For the best burgers and juiciest hamburgers, only lightly
shape the hamburger patties and resist pressing down on them
with the spatula it drives the juices out.
QUESTION: Any suggestions to prevent my steaks from drying out
while grilling?
ANSWER: Use long-handled tongs for turning steaks. A fork will
pierce the steak causing loss of flavorful juices which will
in turn make your steak dry.
QUESTION: Do you have any specific grilling tips for using a
charcoal grill?
ANSWER: Always use good-quality charcoal briquettes and charcoal
lighter fluid. The charcoal briquettes should be fired up and
ready for grilling in about 20 minutes. For direct cooking on
a charcoal grill, make sure there is enough charcoal to extend
in a single layer 1 to 2 inches beyond the area of the food on
the grill. Pour briquettes into the grill to determine the quantity,
then stack into a pyramid for lighting. For indirect cooking,
food is placed over a drip pan and the briquettes are banked
either to one or both sides of the pan.
QUESTION: Is there a basic rule-of-thumb to determine whether
to use the Direct Heat Method vs. Indirect Heat Method when grilling?
ANSWER: Use the Direct Heat Method for foods that require less
than 25 minutes to cook, like hamburgers, steaks, boneless chicken
breasts and pork chops. Use the Indirect Heat Method for cooking
foods that require more than 25 minutes to cook.
NOTE: NEVER, NEVER LET YOUR CHILDREN COOK OR GRILL UNSUPERVISED!
